Environmental Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Environmental Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the delivery of Environmental & Sustainable projects to join the team in our Manchester office working on Environmental Projects and sustainable design & construction projects, principally in waste management, carbon emission management and Environmental App Developments.

​Applicants should have:

  • Have good experience and skills in qualitative research methods in the context of behaviour change and/or behavioural science.
  • Ensure the organisation is operating in accordance with environmental guidelines and targets.
  • Creating, implement and monitor environmental strategies to promote sustainable development.
  • Create wide remit means and review the whole operation, carrying out environmental audits and assessments, resolving environmental problems.
  • Participate in environmental education and research negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs and revenues.
  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans to ensure sustainable development.
  • Lead on sustainable procurement for all apps, goods and services.
  • Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy.
  • Audit, analyse and report environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies carry out impact assessments.
  • Implement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility.
  • Have proven project management and leadership experience – with strong client handling skills and an ability to coordinate a environmental team and deliver work on time and budget.
  • Have a keen interest in Government behaviour change work – projects to understand behaviour and design interventions and strategies for change.
  • Have strong organisational skills – are confident in managing time, meeting deadlines and working both independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Like being with and advising clients on project issues and working with others to share learnings and best practice
  •  Are ambitious and interested in innovation and creative thinking – excited by learning curves and being challenged
